1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TradeConnect ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, homeowners, and trade professionals who access or use TradeConnect.

2. What TradeConnect Is

TradeConnect is a marketplace platform that connects homeowners with local trade professionals. We do not perform trade services ourselves. We are not a contractor, employer, or agent of any trade professional listed on the platform. All services are provided directly by independent trade professionals.

3. Homeowner Terms

As a homeowner using TradeConnect, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting job requests
• Use the platform only for legitimate home service needs
• Not submit fake, spam, or fraudulent job requests
• Communicate respectfully with trade professionals
• Not share your account with others

Homeowner accounts are free. We reserve the right to remove any account that abuses the platform.

4. Trade Professional Terms

As a trade professional using TradeConnect, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your business, services, and licensing
• Maintain any licenses or insurance required by your state or local jurisdiction
• Respond to leads professionally and in good faith
• Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or services
• Pay applicable subscription fees on time
• Not use TradeConnect leads to spam or harass homeowners

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any trade professional account for violations of these terms or for conduct that damages the TradeConnect community.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Trade professional subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your listing stays active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds except where required by law or at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.
• Price changes: We will notify you at least 14 days before any price increase takes effect.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. TradeConnect does not store your payment card information.

6. Lead Quality and Guarantee

We strive to deliver high-quality, genuine leads from homeowners actively seeking trade services. However, we do not guarantee:

• A specific number of leads per month
• That every lead will result in a booked job
• The accuracy of information provided by homeowners

Lead volume depends on your trade, location, plan tier, and market demand. If you believe you have received fraudulent leads, contact us and we will investigate.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use TradeConnect to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harvest or scrape data from the platform
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid subscription fees
• Post or transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Impersonate another person or business

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

TradeConnect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the work quality of any trade professional listed on the platform.

Homeowners are responsible for independently verifying a trade professional's credentials, licenses, and insurance before hiring them.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TradeConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages arising from work performed by trade professionals you found through TradeConnect.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to TradeConnect in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on TradeConnect -- including the name, logo, design, and platform code -- is owned by TradeConnect and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to TradeConnect at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine is harmful to the platform, other users, or our business.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of TradeConnect after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
